"Is It Not I, the Lord?"

In God's infinite power, I know I could be healed in an instant (snap your fingers here). In God's infinite wisdom, He has me exactly where He meant to have me. Thank You, Jesus.

"Moses said to the LORD, 'Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.' Then the LORD said to him, 'Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.'"
(Exodus 4:10-12)

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts."

(Isaiah 55:8-9)

Waiting On A Sign From God

For those of you waiting on a sign from God, has it occurred to you that God may be waiting on a sign from you?

Two overwhelming themes in the Bible are 1) Have Faith, and 2) Take Action.

Consider that while you’re ‘waiting on God,’ He very likely is doing the same with you.

HFTA! Have Faith, & Take Action.

God says in Proverbs that even with all our dreams and plans, He directs our steps. Take Action! Let Him lead you, and He will. But take action. HFTA!

And may the Lord bless you all throughout your journey.

A Prayer for Today

Thank You, Father, for being the one, true, Almighty God. Please, protect us as we go forth -- but help us to live adventurously. In Jesus’ name we ask for your blessings and guidance, Lord. Amen.

He's Talking About You

Paul was sent by Jesus to share god's offer of His son to us -- the outsiders, the pagans, the non-Jews. What Jesus Said to Paul was this, straight out of the Bible:

"I'm sending you off to open the eyes of the outsiders so they can see the difference between dark and light, and choose light, see the difference between Satan and God, and choose God. I’m sending you off to present my offer of sins forgiven, and a place in the family, inviting them into the company of those who begin real living by believing in me."

(Acts 26:17-18)(MSG)

Prayer for Today

Thank You, Father, for your son, Jesus Christ the Risen Messiah. Please, open the eyes of my heart. Do not let me lead myself any longer. Give me your Spirit, Lord. I open myself to you now, the best I know how. I want you. Please, make me yours and lead me down your narrow path. In Jesus name I ask this. Amen.

In Every Situation? Yes.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

(Philippians 4:6-7) ♥♥♥

Prayer for Today

Thank You, Father, for so much guidance and love given us in regards to fighting off the enemy, & tricks such as fear, anxiety, and worry. Thank you for loving us unconditionally, though with accountability and discipline to help us grow and strengthen. Thank you for your peace, Jesus. Please guide us & grow us, and give us discernment so that we see more of you in everything, and fall prey to the world's tricks less often. Amen.

Straight Outta the Bible:
What Does It Mean to "Fear the Lord?"

"The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech..."
(Proverbs 8:13)

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight."
(Proverbs 9:10)

Prayer for Today

Lord, thank you for your clarity. Thank you for showing us in your word, what it means to ‘fear’ you, the Almighty God, our Father, and most loving, forgiving God we only dream of being like. Thank you for giving us an example to model ourselves after. Thank you for such a beautiful, wondrous thing as unconditional love. We, as a people, are conditional. Thank you for showing us what true love is, and what it means to ‘fear’ a loving God. Please, Lord, grab hold of all who read this. Lift them up, protect them, and make them yours. Open up the eyes of their hearts, Father. Please, give them your Spirit, and hand every one to Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Straight Outta the Bible:
And the Lame I Will Make the Remnant

"In that day, declares the Lord,
I will assemble the lame
and gather those who have been driven away
and those whom I have afflicted;
and the lame I will make the remnant,
and those who were cast off, a strong nation;
and the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion
from this time forth and forevermore."

(Micah 4:6-7)

Straight Outta the Bible:
From All Nations & All Times

The Book of Revelation, chapter 1, verses 4-7 say:

"...All the best to you from The God Who Is, The God Who Was, and The God About to Arrive, and from the Seven Spirits assembled before his throne, and from Jesus Christ—Loyal Witness, Firstborn from the dead, Ruler of all earthly kings.
Glory and strength to Christ, who loves us,
who blood-washed our sins from our lives,
Who made us a Kingdom, Priests for his Father,
forever—and yes, he’s on his way!
Riding the clouds, he’ll be seen by every eye,
those who mocked and killed him will see him,
People from all nations and all times
will tear their clothes in lament.
Oh, Yes."

(Rev 1:4-7)(MSG)

It's Just an Old Book

"It's just an old book, irrelevant today," or so they say. But the Bible says...

"The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit."

(1 Corinthians 2:14)

Straight Outta the Bible:
   You Who Are Younger

"In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,

   'God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.'

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Straight Outta the Bible:
The Lord's Servant Must Not Be Quarrelsome

The Book of 2nd Timothy, chapter 2, verses 19 & 22-26 say:

(19) "Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: 'The Lord knows those who are his,' and, 'Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.'"

(22-26) "Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will."

Those Who Can’t Hear the Music

"Those who dance are considered insane by those who can’t hear the music."
-- George Carlin

Yes, indeed. Christians, too, are called weak, foolish, crazy, whatever. Due simply to the fact that those who mock Christianity have not yet ever truly heard the music, the sweet melodies that only the Holy Spirit can provide.

Thank You, Jesus, for opening the eyes of my heart. Please, Lord, I ask you to open the eyes of all the hearts of *everyone* who reads this. Don't let any of them escape. Give them hearts of flesh that you can reshape, Lord, and cast out their hearts of stone, as you say in the Bible. If you can do it to me, and to hard-headed Marines I've prayed for and whom you've changed, I know you can also save all who read this. In Jesus mighty name I ask this, all for your glory, Father. Amen.

Straight Outta the Bible -- Rise & Shine!

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you."

(Isaiah 60:1-2)

3 Verses to Contemplate Today

"You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?"
(1 Corinthians 3:3)

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful."
(Colossians 3:15)

"But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness."
(James 3:17-18)
