The Time Has Come, the Time Is Now

 

Happy New Year! The time has come! Roll with it! Life is good, when we let it be.

Here are some verses to help you focus better for the coming year. Well, they help me, and I hope they can help you:

The Spirit Of Truth

 

Jesus told us this:

“When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.”
(John 15:26)

 

The "Advocate," the Spirit (of Truth) that Jesus talked about there is the Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost, etc. Lots of names - but one Spirit.

In other parts of the Bible, it says that the Spirit is now within believers, followers of the Christ, thanks to Jesus' coming, dying, and then ascending back into heaven.

The Holy Spirit, now in them rather than around them as in the Old Testament, is why some Christians feel 'led' to do some things.

That's why many Christians are thought to be nuts, thought to be a bit off their rocker, when compared to the rest of the world.

Those that don't (yet) have the Spirit in them, think Christians nuts, or stupid, or weak, etc.,

But I ask you, and quite possibly irk you by asking, who is the weaker one? One who must touch a thing to trust or believe in it, or one who is able to put their life on the line for something they believe in?

The things that make you go, 'Hmmm...' ;-)

 

Prayer for Today

Father, please, open the hearts and the minds of all who read this and are searching. Even those that don’t recognize that they’re searching. Please, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, your son, I ask this. Please give the Holy Spirit to each of those who read this. Give them everlasting life through your Spirit in them, before it is too late, so that they may be with us in heaven for eternity. Please, as you say in your word, hand them over to Jesus. Amen.
