Two Apostles Named ‘Judas’

I don't know about you, but I often forget that there were 2 apostles named Judas. More often, my thoughts are along the lines of, 'I feel bad for anyone named Judas, after a bit of history like that.' But there was a ‘good’ Judas!

Poor guy. He gets a bad rep, I'm telling you. Far more people I'm sure, remember the Judas who betrayed Christ. But there were two apostles named Judas.

Thank You, Lord, for the reminder.

The Twelve Apostles
(Luke 6:12-16)

"In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God. And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles:
Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot, and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
